The central idea of "Third Culture Kids" is that many kids have different backgrounds and culture they may even have more than one. People usually ask them questions that question their culture. Which makes them feel like they are putting on a mask or having to prove themselves worthy of their culture. In the text, " Ndéla Faye" says, " Who am I really? Which of these masks is the true me? Where do I belong? In my case, this is made even more complex as I'm biracial." Which supports my central idea.

The central idea of "Third Culture Kids " is that generations of kids are born in a country up and move to another country which is there adoptive culture and when they get questioned about where ther from they tell half of the truth or change their stories around which makes them ask themselves who are they? where they began to question there identity. In the text Ndéla Faye says "I feel as though I'm wearing different masks, and I am constantly able to reinvent myself." This evidence shows how she feel like she has to hide a part of herself or even remake her identity.
