I hope you are all enjoying your summer! I am a Special Education Teacher at WOS Elementary School in Tappan, NY. I have spent many years as a special education teacher and therapist, across many different settings in my community. I spent 7 years as an ABA therapist and early childhood, special education home therapist. I have been back in the classroom setting for the last 6 years, teaching preschool/ASD classes, K-2 center-based, and will now be co-teaching in kindergarten this year! Prior to that I taught self- contained, as well as co-taught classes across urban, rural and suburban school settings. I am also a mother to six young adults/teenagers, some of whom are in high school, college and just entering the workforce;) SEL is a huge part of my teaching, and life. I am a 5th grade general education teacher at Cottage Lane Elementary in Blauvelt, NY. This is my 3rd year teaching at Cottage Lane, and my first year ever teaching 5th grade - the previous two years I taught 4th grade, and this year I am looping up with last year's crew. Previously I was an elementary special education teacher and math interventionist in New York City for 6 years and also taught middle school special education for a year in Mamaroneck.
