1610; Percy Burns an indigenous town

On August 9th, 1610 George Percy (a nobleman and Jamestown resident) attacked and burned an indigenous town. Cutting down all the fields corn and kidnapping the family of an important tribe figure. They also killed many children and beheaded a man on the way back to their ship.

1610-1622; Strain on the relationship of the Powhatan and the British colonizers

1644-1646; The Tidewater War

1636-1638; The Pequot War

A war between the Pequots and the Puritans started because the Pequots were supposedly to blame for the death of a man named Oldham. Soldiers under the command of John Endecott were sent to avenge his death and attacked some indigenous towns, additionally having his men burn villages and food supplies.

1637; Ending of the Siege of Fort Saybrook

1732; Establishment of the Colony of Georgia

1776; Destruction of multiple Cherokee towns

1780-1781; Virginia miltia wreaking havoc

1782; North Carolina rangers

The governor of North Carolina sent many mounted rangers to retaliate and "chastise the nation and reduce them to obedience".

1763; King George III declared Proclamation line

King George III declared that no British subjects would settle on indigenous land in the Ohio country west of a "Proclamation line". This angered settlers wishing to move to that location and speculators wishing to sell land there.

1776; Shawnee responds to British encroachements

The Shawnee nation retaliated the encroachement of the 1663 squatters by raiding settlements and expelling land surveyors. The settlers fought back by comissioning 150 rangers to destroy Shawnee towns.

1776; Shawnees ally with the British

1782; Buck Ongahelas

1782; David Williamson's command
