         <title>Who is Hannah Shenesh</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Hannah Senesh </strong>was born on July 17, 1921, in Budapest, Hungary and was the daughter of a author and journalist. She had literary talent from a young age. She kept a journal from when she was 13 to near her death. Her family was assimilated in and anti-Semitic sentiment in Budapest which is when she begun Zionist activities. In 1939 she studied at an agricultural school and then settled at Kibbutz Sdot Yam. Then she wrote poetry and a play about kibbutz life. In 1943 Senesh joined the British army and she was one of the people who volunteered to be parachuted into Europe. The purpose of this was to help the allied efforts establish contact with Parisian resistance fighters. On June 7 1944  when the deportation of Hungarian Jews Senesh crossed the border into Hungary. Where she was instantly caught and tortured for months. She did not give out any information. At her trial she defended her activities and actions. Then when she was executed she stared at her executors. </p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>June 7, an amazing person sadly passed trying to save people. Hannah died when she crossed the border into Hungary on the deportation of Hungarian Jews. She had a plan to help some of the Jews and trained for this moment. But she was caught instantly as she crossed the border.  She was tortured for months and did not let out a single word. Then on the day of her execution she stared at her executioners.</p>]]></description>
