In addition to the comments below, some students noted out loud in class that the clip is offered by the reputable New-York Historical Society and that the speaker featured was herself a professor of Asian American Studies at UC Santa Cruz.

In the spirit of open educational resources (OER), we hope you will copy, expand, customize, reuse, remix, and re-share the syllabus. Aside from the Takaki readings and the Edith Maude Eaton entry, all resources here were chosen by students and then peer evaluated to determine how credible, engaging, and grade-appropriate each was.
