Course evaluations are an important part of the programme. They help the Schools to show positive aspects of the various courses, but to also identify areas that need improvement. By filling out the evaluation form at the end of every course, you can contribute to the quality of our education (including course design, assignment instructions, study materials, and blended learning aspects) offered to you and other students. 
 
When giving feedback, please: 
  • be specific, focused, and respectful;
  • never mention names in your comments, but refer to "teacher/lecturer"; 
  • address aspects of the course and teaching that are positive as well as those you feel need improvement;
  • be specific and provide examples when commenting on the course or the instructor;
  • speak based on your own experiences, not on behalf of your classmates.

So please take a few minutes to provide feedback on all your courses. We send out a questionnaire through an email at the end of each course. The evaluation can be filled out anonymous.

OMD is coming to Communication Science to provide you with insights into the media landscape. They host a portfolio of clients like McDonald’s, L’Oréal, Pepsico and Mercedes. In this masterclass, you’ll explore what companies you can work for in the media landscape, what roles you can take on in these companies and last but not least, what you can expect to be paid. Additionally, OMD will present a case of one of their biggest clients to give you an idea of the strategy behind a media plan. All in all, an afternoon you don’t want to miss!

OMD is the world’s largest media agency network delivering business transformation at scale for some of the world’s leading brands. Our own alumnus Kyle Hassing is now working at OMD as a digital executive. He and his colleague Tim van Straten will visit the UvA to tell you about the media landscape and what happens behind the scenes at a media agency.
