Something I took away from the video is that theater can easily be very simple and that it isn't complicated to entertain an audience. When you think about it theater can seem very simple to the audience but to the actors it can be very complicated and take a lot of time to perfect in a show.

My take away is that the anything can be considered engaging in theater, there are no rules to theater, because it's the way someone expresses themselves. Also the environment and background details, e.g. the music can change a lot about a scene even if the dialog itself doesn't change, another thing that can easily change the effect of dialog is tone a blocking.

One of the most important things I took away from the experience was how simple theatre can look like when done correctly. It seemed like a regular conversation. You can see that the actors did a great job acting it out. It seems complicated since you can see in the video the multiple techniques there are being used. The actors show us the transition between different teens while acting.

My takeaway from this video is that in many different settings the things an actor/actress says can be reciprocated differently. For example when she was holding hands with her boyfriend she was more shy talking to the man and you can tell she was holding back her words. However when she was at the party she was really excited to see the man and she has a lot to say to him.

My take away from the video 'What is theatre capable of?' is that you can do very simple things in theatre but it can still be entertaining. Every little bit that happens makes the scene or moment different and exciting. This includes lighting or a change of actors. An empty stage is boring but even with one actor there is much potential almost immediately. It is simple to make something an experience on a stage.

While watching the video I realised that lighting and sound although they seem insignificant are extremely important to creating an atmosphere. Any type of music can change the way that a scene looks or feels, while any change of lighting can change the focus of the scene. We also saw how the number of people on stage dictates what is focused on and how it can create a more busy environment and keep a scene more spread out or less focused. This number of people created an environment that you need more than 1 person for.

The take away I took from that video is that the actors had to change character really quickly for example when the romantic music was playing it seemed like they were in love.

My takeaway was that the surroundings, sound, and Lighting can turn a simple scene such as a dialog between two people and turn it into something completely different Such as a love story with romantic music and a crowd of people or a story about two friends without music or the crowd. This video showed that theater is not just the dialog it is just as much the scenery, lighting, and music.

Something that i noticed that was talked about in the video was that tone can change the meaning of a sentence. The narrator was essentially saying the same thing over and over again but the things like the lighting and the music changed the atmosphere. For example, when the actor explained what they had for breakfast while standing up, there was no audience reaction because what they saw was generic. However, when the actor did the same thing but facing down and the narrator changed their tone, the audience started laughing.

The video had a beautiful flow, even if the scenes weren't all exactly the same. Throughout the act, the cast and crew were tweaking small things and this changed each scene drastically. One of the things I will take-away from this video, is the fact that each detail is so crucial to a scene. The lighting, the body language the setting and I believe most importantly, the emotion or characters/actors and what they are communicating through the scene. The atmosphere changes an immense amount.
