Now, O’ Brien has to separate Them without making King look bad, because Briggs will attack back at them and it won’t improve the case. Steve is depressed and wants to see Jerry and tell him to “think about all the tomorrows of your life”. A new witness comes to the stand. Dorothy Moore, one of King’s cousins, said that he was at her house gifting her a lamp when the robbery happened. She didn’t know much about King though. When she is asked for the lamp, she said that it broke and no longer has it. George Nipping, a witness who knew King for a long time, know he was a leftie and never saw him shoot a gun before. Steve didn’t understand the reason why they had to bring up the fact that King is leftie. So O’ Brien explains to him that the wound was on the left side of the body and only a right handed person can shoot it like that. He also says that Steve has to take the stand to show the jurors they can trust him. King can’t take the stand because he already lied to the police and the prosecutor can use his own words against him. So, the lawyer start training his client with a Cup Game. Steve takes the stand and answer the question from his part of the story and he said that King, Bobo and Osvaldo are all acquaintances. He says that he was taking mental notes for his film project and not at the drugstore. So they bring in Mr Sawicki, his film maker teacher, to the stand. He says that Steve is a good and honest person. Briggs, O’ Brien and this State all have their closing arguments.
