And yes, there is a regional difference. Not everyone in America owns a gun, only a portion of the people. Firearms are also a very controversial topic in America and not everyone agrees with them. Well, although we can't completely prevent such things from happening due to the unpredictability of the event, there are ways we can reduce the likelihood of them happening. But, there should be more strict as it pertains to guns such as through background checks on people so not just anybody can get a gun because people with criminal history and even mental illness are somehow validated to carry a firearms and that's not right at all that's one of the reasons why America deals with domestic terrorism. I think that if you want to purchase a gun, you should be very thoroughly checked out before you can get one. There's too many crazy people out there with easy access to getting guns illegally. Also if locked away in a safe place it should be no problem.
