Taking terms out of correction yet still making sure to teach relevant patient information. Example: ACE inhibitors may work differently in black patients. But being aware that when talking about SDOH- is race important to specify? Sometimes it is not. In one college, students commented that faculty were always saying things like “32 y/o Hispanic patient without insurance”… so maybe in that case mentioning race is not necessary.
