It stated that Great Britain was able to house soldiers in America. Therefore, this act required the colonies to house British soldiers and to provide them with whatever they needed. For some reason, if the shelters given to the soldiers were to small for them, then the colonies had to accommodate the soldiers in stables, or inns. All in all, every colony, except Pennsylvania, refused to agree with the Quartering Act. This applied to all diplomas, contacts, wills, and published material like newspapers. For the colonist, the Stamp Act was a difffent kin dof tax compared to the Sugar Act. This was because teh Suga CAt mainy affected merchnats, but teh Stamp Act was a tax applid on the colonies.
