In all seriousness, thank you Ms Jeng for being the best teacher and class moderator that anyone could ask for. Thank you for inspiring me to persevere and be confident in myself despite setbacks and insecurities. Thank you for dealing with me and my circumstances this school year with endless amounts of support, patience and understanding. I couldn’t have gone through the school year without the help you’ve given me.

Never be a stranger, Ms Jeng. We are rooting for you no matter where you are 💚💚

Apart from me seeking your advice during times I felt helpless, I was personally touched by your reflections about your personal life. Given everything you have been through, as a member of the workforce, a queer indiviual, a woman, and as a person generally, its an understatement to say that you've experienced much heartbreaks growing up. Sure, I may not know and even undertand the full story and context of what you've been through, but I can attest that your words alone were enough to make me feel rather, ...heard.

You know me, ma'am. You know the things I've been experiencing. And I cannot really emphasize enough how much it really helps to know that I am not alone in facing struggles of fitting in and being accepted. As I said, I was touched, but maybe a better word to put it would be: heartfelt. I felt as if someone truly understands me--that I was put in a place where I felt like I belonged.

You're brave, ma'am. You're strong and amazing. But most of all, you're an inspiration. I'm not sure if you see that in yourself, but I hope you know that your stories and your character is what helps people like me keep living life and pursue what we love in spite of what the world has to throw at us. It may not be said explicitly, but your teachings go far beyond academics--they tell me to keep doing what I love, become a good person, become and love who I want to be wholeheartedly, and stand up and be there for myself especially at times when I feel like the whole world is against me.

To end this, I may not know your reason for retirement (baka napagod kana samin eme HAHAHA), but I hope you know that your legacy has been intact within us, especially for me. You have been able to teach us students to be inclusive, respectful, and loving to our neighbors despite whatever judgement people throw. Your presence has been an essential building block to our developement here in our environment, provided all the love you've given us. I, personally, will make it a goal to be a person people can look up to--someone who embodies love and success in my own terms, just as you did when you continued to show up everyday as the teacher who has got our backs when we are in times of difficulty.

Hi Ms. Jeng !! a bit out of place kasi di naman ako student niyo this year but I just wanted to say thank you for everything you've taught me back in 11th grade. Everyday we had science, we never said it but all of Realino was looking forward to your "How are you Toad-ay" spiel. That small bit really helped lift up my spirits after a stressful day. Hi Ma’am! Just wanted to thank you for all the memories we shared and the learnings I’ve obtained from you. From the day I first met you for the Geology training until that final farewell in the party, I knew you weren’t just a capable teacher but a wholesome human being too. How fate brought me as your student the following year is something that I genuinely am thankful for  😸. 

Purely memorization po ung EarthSci at DRRR pero somehow super helpful talaga ung teaching style ninyo its very unique and exceptional. Even if we may be quiet most of the time, you truly inspired our class to do our best and fight for what we believe in. Sobrang touching po ung message nyo saken on IG Ma’am you don’t know how much that meant to me 🥺. I usually hide how I really feel most of the time by acting jocose but you still insisted in giving me that message 💗. Mamimiss ko talga mga how are you toadays nyo esp next sy. 

You not only taught us about the Earth, or Hazards, or Frog - for me these academics are all secondary knowledge that a person should have, and I experienced this SY that the primary one is one’s morals and principles. You were that bridge that connected us to the courage and drive needed to seek out what's meaningful to us, so we could really build our self-respect and believe in who we are becoming. To be able to to teach us, motivate us, comfort us, bond with us showed how much effort you were giving.

Nakaka-inspire po talaga kayo, it was indeed a journey that won’t be erased from my mind ever. I’m glad to have started SHS with you 😊. You might have gotten 2 nonchalant classes 2 years in a row, but I hope you were still able to cherish the experiences and the relationships we fostered. Because of that, I rate you a diamond out of 10💎! Bless you and your family, hope you have a pleasant future ahead of you!

Thank you for being with us throughout these final years of high school. I would do it all over again with you as my mod! I still remember very clearly your closing reflection on our very last day. Even since then, I've been trying and trying to be the best version of myself, and I'm always inspired to work harder because of you.

Your reflections during mip never failed to get my attention, whether it be from your humor, moving stories, or hard-hitting truths. I hope that our student-led reflections moved you as much as yours moved me. Your enthusiasm during earthsci or drrr always made me more interested, and I was never lost when it was you teaching. I hope that whatever endeavor waiting for you allows you to keep sharing your skills and passions, inspiring people like us do the same.

First of all, I am grateful for being your student in my junior year in the senior high school. I appreciate the lessons you had ingrained to me: different classifications of rocks, the various terminologies for disaster risk, your life story as a geologist and much more that I could not remember as I am writing this. I remember most especially your story as a geologist where you shared with the class the challenges of being a female geologist. You shared that being a female geologist is not easy given the stigma that it is a male dominated career. This personal story of yours has inspired me to stand my own ground that it is important to believe in your self even if some people may doubt your own capacities. Hearing this too has enabled me to become a better lover of Science given its nature of knowing several concepts by heart in a short amount of time.

I am thankful too for your time as our class moderator. I know that our class may be misbehaved at times, but I appreciate that you still continue to love us despite our shortcomings. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to also express ourselves through the student led reflection (pero di ako nag share haha), and this hopes to serve as an avenue to knowing your students better. Additionally, I am grateful too for the times I have received a sticker that continuously motivates me (btw, i still have the frog sticker you have given me in the front page of my notebook). Furthermore, our class appreciates the support you have given us during events such as our KFD where you have helped us in finding a sticker supplier, strand day, Bukluran, and even during our year end party where some of us watched with you Gonjiam. I never thought that our year end last May 6 would be our last meeting, albeit, looking back, I believe that we have treasured this moment properly with you.

To tie everything I have stated, I hope that the lessons you have imparted to me and to the students you taught will continue to be lived out with the different roads we are in life. There have been many students besides from me that you have inspired by just looking in this Padlet page. I wish that you share the same zeal with whatever path you have chosen to take. Continue to lighten up people whom you will encounter.

coming from a conservative school (and family, as well), i was never truly able to express myself in such settings. however, after coming into ateneo and having you as our mod, i've come to realize that no matter where we are, we shouldn't feel that way! :) we should be able to be ourselves without fear of judgement, wherever we are. your story is a testimony of that.

it isn't easy and for sure, there'll be times when others' perceptions and criticisms of ourselves may affect us, but ma'am, you're an example of how to overcome those struggles and work around and against them. you're genuinely the strongest, bravest woman i know, and i know that you'll always be one step closer to achieving your dreams day by day.

I thought that I'll be able to get my class pic from u next sy but it turns out that you won't be coming back :(. Thank u po for being able to bear with us for the whole year even though we may have given u a hard time hahhahahahha. I'll remember u as one of the teachers that whenever I look at the schedule ahead, I would feel relieved on having you as our next subject because you boost our energy even during exhausting days. It's sad to see that future juniors wouldn't be able to experience your slides full of toads anymore and the passion you have for teaching.

to be honest, i’ve never been interested in geology. i always thought physics or biology were more inherently interesting! but, being in your earth science class… it MADE geology interesting! your skill, charisma, and passion for both science and education came through and really made your lectures and sessions stand out in my mind.

you were one of my fav teachers this year ma’am. whatever you do in the future, i hope you find great success, and i hope you keep on being yourself. also happy pride month!

I really appreciate as well the tokens and sudden side quest we had. It was just the right time and place so you could finish your Pokémon card collection. Seeing your passion for pokemon makes me really happy as well as a fellow fan. My espeon and I were more than happy to help out! ٩(｡•◡•｡)۶

Thank you for being the moderator that lakam needed :) Every time we were faced with a hurdle that seemed too big for us to handle, you never hesitated to help us. I remember during Eksa, I was panicking and yet, I was able to calm down once I asked you for guidance. I truly am grateful that despite how many times I felt overwhelmed, I can always talk to you during org sessions and even outside of it.

Though we may not always show it, please know that Lakambini will always be grateful for your presence—that we, as a Sandigan, wouldn’t have understood nor fought as hard for our advocacy if it wasn’t for your continuous reminder on why fighting for gender equality was important and necessary.

As you leave ADMU with us seniors (#downthehill 😆), I hope you remember how big of an impact you left on each one of your students. We wish you the best of luck on your next journey, ma’am! 🩷 Visit us when u can pls 🙏

i just wanted to take the time to say thank you for everything you’ve done for us during our junior year in ashs. knowing that you’ll be leaving ateneo is honestly bittersweet. we’re excited for what’s ahead for you, as we’re sure you’ll achieve great things. however, it’s like a sad realization that we won’t be able to greet you in the hallways during our senior year, or that the incoming juniors won’t he sble to experience what it’s like to be in your class.

you were our guide, and someone who mad a huge difference during such an important year. for many of us transferees, it was a time of adjustment, uncertainty, and trying to find our place in a very diverse community. yet, having you as our moderator made everything feel lighter, with your kindness, warmth, and jokes.

ma’am, i hope you know that your classes were one of a kind. i’m not really fond of science, hehe, but the way you taught made me, and i’m sure a lot of your other students, actually look forward to learning. i won’t forget your “how are you toaday” slides, and the energy you brought into every session. i also really appreciated your reflections and personal stories during MIP. you always reminded us to pause, to reflect, and to be the best versions of ourselves.

as class president, i want to really thank you for the way you supported me. leading the class wasn’t always easy, since most of us in the class were “nonchalant” or just had different interests. it was actually also my first time being a class president, so i really appreciated how you were always willing to help, listen, and encourage.

i hope you know that your presence in our lives made a lasting impact. you carry with you not just the knowledge and skills of a great teacher, but the warmth and kindness of someone who truly made a difference in our lives.

We never had a picture together, but I do have a picture of the award you gave me before the school year ended. I remember the day I got that award. I was feeling so down because my academic performance was so bad, and I kept bringing myself down more. That week was also the week I kept crying and breaking down, and I was so sad because I didn't know how to cope with everything bad that's happening around me anymore. But then one of my classmates handed it to me. I asked what it was, and they told me it was from you. I looked at it, stared at it for a while, then started smiling and tearing up a bit. Getting that award made not only my whole day but my whole week.

That award made me feel seen.

I know this isn't a typical thank you message, but this is what I wrote because I believe this shows who you are as a person, Ms. Jeng. It shows how caring and thoughtful you are, and what a wonderful teacher and person you've been. Throughout the whole school year of 2024-2025, you never failed to make me smile with all the "How are you toad-ays?", the constant random jokes during class, and the stickers you gave as rewards during recitation.

Thank you for making me laugh during days that were so gloomy. Thank you for teaching us with so much love and care to the point that we can feel happiness lingering around the room. And most importantly, thank you for making Science fun. I know I wasn't the best-performing student during the first parts of the first and second sem, but I was constantly improving because I had more motivation to listen to class because of your fun jokes. You really helped me cope, and I’ll surely miss having you around.
