         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>The Civil Rights Movement in the United States consisted of organized efforts aimed at overturning laws that discriminated against African Americans. There was unequal treatment of African Americans because of their race. The movement started in the 1950’s and continued in the 1960’s. Blacks would have to give up their seat on buses when a white wanted to sit in their seat. The African American citizens started to boycott.</strong></div>]]></description>
