My grandfather has been living on his own for 2 years now. since my grandmother, his wife went into a long term care facility. He also has COPD so to continue to work on his breathing he uses his incentive spirometer during commercials when he watches tv. This is very important for him to keep his lungs expanding and preventing atelectasis.
Example 2- Mental Health
My father can be forgetful at times. So to help with remembering where his keys are, he puts his keys on the hook by the alarm system.  So when he comes in he puts the keys on the hook and turns off the alarm. This has helped him remember where his keys are and to turn off or on the alarm. 
Example 3- Social Relationships- 
Relationships are so important to have at any age in life. Social isolation has been proven to do more harm than help. It's been a challenge for a lot of people dealing with the pandemic. My parents talk to there close friends and family on a daily basis. I feel that has helped along with facetime.
