Here's an artwork inspired me recently. In Japanese anime style, the characters are drawn flat. This drawing uses extreme exaggerate anime style to depict the facial expression of a young girl, while using clay as a frame to create clouds and tears, making the whole picture jump out of the flatness and giving this work a strong expression.

This is another piece that inspired me. The artist used wood to make a human body, adding parts that could be switched on and off, combining it with painting to produce an microcosm. I think this is a great case of visualizing an idea.

In terms of subject matter, I have been specializing in youth. I think they straddle the ignorance of childhood, and have not yet learned about the realism of adulthood. Therefore, youth are the most suitable vehicle for carrying fantasy and idealism.

I would like to try using clay, glass and metal to mix. Clay gives a rustic handmade texture, while glass and metal are the opposite, with a modern and aggressive feeling. I thought it would be an interesting combination of these different materials.

My first display form is a picture in frame. The painting is used as the main body and other materials are used as secondary. I think there is a lot of creativity in the making of frames.

My second idea is to use the material as a subject, and paint on it. This would require a logical and clear structure as a foundation, but the visual effect would bring more in variety than a graphic painting.
