The Inca Empire rose from 1400 C.E to 1532 C.E. When they were later conquered by Spanish explorers. The Inca Empire stretched 2,500 miles from North to South. It reached from the pacific coast in the west to the amazon river in Basin in the east. They would communicate by runners called Chasquis, to send messages from one place to another. They would have to remember the message they were sent to send traveling long distances. They also learned about class structure, family life, religion, and relations with other people. The center of the empire was Cuzco which was the capital of the city (The Inca Empire). The Inca society was based on a strictly organized class structure. There was three class structures, which were: the emperor and his immediate family, nobles, and commoners.Throughout Inca society, people who were "Inca by blood"held higher status than non Incas. Families in the Inca Empire belonged to larger clans called ayllus. The Ayllus was the basis of the Inca society. Religion was also an important part of Inca life. The Incas believed in that Gods influenced their daily lives. Like there most important God Intl (the Sun God) they worshiped. The Incas had several methods of bringing other groups of people in to the Empire. They did not immediately resort to war. Becoming part of the Empire meant adopting the ways of the Incas.

The Mayan civilization lasted 3,500 years from about 2000 B.C.E to 1500 B.C.E. At it's height it include present day southern mexico and large portions of central America. During the time of their peak of power part of present day southern mexico, Belize, most of Guatemala, and parts of Honduras and El Salvador. The built their civilization in part on ideas they inherited from a people called the Olmec. the Olmec lived in jungle areas on the east coast of Mexico. Mayan civilizations began to arise in eastern and southern mexico around 2000 B.C.E.. The Mayan began constructing public buildings for governmental and religious purposes. About around 50 B.C.E they began to adapt the writing system of the Olmec and develop their own system of hieroglyphics writing. During the classic period the Maya lived in independent city states like Tikal. Although the Mayan economy was based mostly on farming, trade and crafts were also important. Men usually married at age 20 when woman married as young as age 14. The Maya built their own cities around ceremonial and religious centers.

The Aztecs were a Mesoamerican people who built a vast empire inc central mexico. It started in 1428 to 1519 C.E, when it was later destroyed by invaders from Spain. The Aztecs had a legend that they would receive a message from the gods. And that they would see an eagle perched on a great cactus with ( His wings stretched toward the sun), and in it's beak the eagle had a long snake in it's mouth. So when the Aztecs saw the eagle they would know they have found the place where they would build a great city. In 1325 the Aztecs took refuge on an Island in lake Textcoco. And there an Aztec priest saw the eagle that the gods promised they'd see. And so the Aztecs built a city called Tenochtitlan and it became the center of the Aztec Empire. The symbol of the Mexican flag comes from the Aztec symbol for Tenochtitlan, which is now mexico city. And it recalls the legend of the Aztecs.

This talks about how the Aztecs lived Tenochtitlan in the 1400 C.E . The Aztec society was divided into five main social classes. At the top of the class were the ruler and the family. Next came a noble, priest, and high-ranking warriors. At the bottom of the list was the slaves. Each class had it's own privileges and responsibilities. Officials in Tenochtitlan counseled the emperor, worked as judges, and governed the city's four districts. marriage and family were important to the Aztecs of all social classes. marriage marked an Aztec child's entry into adulthood. Most men married at the age 20, while young women tended to marry around 16. The Aztecs of Tenochtitlan ate both homegrown foods and foods that were imported from distant places. Markets were an important part of the Aztec economy. Religion was central to Aztec life ans society. The Aztecs believed that humans needed the gods to survive, and it was the god's that granted a good harvest =or, if they were displeased sent earthquakes and floods. Consequently, it was important to please the gods with flowers, ears of maize, clothing, or images made of wood, while the people sang and danced. While work, warfare, and rituals were important to the Aztecs, they also had some time for recreation. They enjoyed dancing, and nobles liked to go on hunts.
