The insignificant events in the life of a cactus is similar as it represents disabilities and friendships, such as Aven (the Main Character) has no arms and goes to a new school where she feels alone and misplaced. As the story progresses She meets new people such as a kid with tourettes and many more and creates great bonds between each one. We included this book because, in Forget Me Not Calliope has the same situation, with having a disability and trying o make friends.
