The rest of the nervous system is like a network that relays messages back and forth from the brain to different parts of the body. It does this via the spinal cord, which runs from the brain down through the back. It contains threadlike nerves that branch out to every organ and body part.

The integumentary system is in charge of protecting the the inside of the body from things in our environment. It protects the body from infection by preventing germs from being able to enter the body. It also helps keep out pollution, and UV rays. The hair, skin and nails all work together to form a protective barrier. Your hair and skin are located all over your body while your nails are found on your fingers and toes.
