When I was writing my essay I realized how passionate I was about stopping the phrase "you're strong for a girl." When Professor McClain responded to me she even thought at first that I was going to do an awareness campaign for something like that. It has had me thinking and I am so torn on which one I want to do now. Ultimately, I want to brand companies as my job once I am done with school. However, I definitely feel really passionate about showing women how strong we are! As of right now I am really torn! Any suggestions?

This is not finalized. I want to narrow down my colors to a core three for my logo and the majority of my branding work. However, all of the colors shown below would be colors incorporated into the clothing designs! I wanted to choose colors that I felt were powerful and not your cliche "feminine colors". As far as the shapes go, I chose triangular shapes along with lines. I feel as though these two shapes best work for dynamic designs as well as shaping for clothing. Lastly the textures I am using are all athleticly wearable textures.  I still need to come up with a name for my brand and a logo. That is what I will be working really hard on for the next few days!

Get this! My whole floor at work was closed because everyone had the flu. Here's the thing you can't close uninsured motorist which sits right next to me and the other Administrative members but you know what, they did! It was a very wild ride and my children ended up with the flu and are just now feeling better. That said my blackboard link for the senior project was removed by the school and I've been unable to see anything related to this class until Friday when Sandee fixed it for me, yay. Its time to get back on track and honestly I'm ready to dive in and get it done!! I'm working on my story line now, so here's hoping its good and not complete shit. Updates to come!

I have created my logo, name of the brand, and our tagline. I hope I get some feedback on my logo after the show and tell. I decided to make it a tiger because they symbolize overcoming, strength, and living up to your greatest potential. If you look closely along the top of the tiger you see "jenb" to go along with my brand name. I want my tagline to be "driven to overcome" because this brand is all about women overcoming stereotypes and proving how strong we are to the world and ourselves. I have also added the three words that I want my brand to be described as and what my brand will follow. Next I am going to create a prototype of what my website will look like. That is what I plan to do this upcoming week!

I do this mainly because my coworkers have very little access to many websites. If I move a traditional Power Point slide to our conference room computer the fonts I like won't transfer to that computer and it causes even more issue. I feel like what I should be saying is I'm addicted to Photoshop. I'm going to try presenting my project in this way but I am going to look into other tools. Does anyone have a recommendation? I'm not a huge fan of using preset templates as you lose a lot of control.

When I went to upload and send my files to Sandee, I realized I was not as organized as I had thought! Sandee was able to help me realize that I had to put every single graphic onto an Illustrator art board even if I am going to put the art work into a mockup in Photoshop. Originally I had just put all of my logos in Illustrator and then transferred them into Photoshop for the mockups to design rather than designing it on Illustrator then just pasting it into the mockup. So this week I worked on bringing all of my files into Illustrator. I decided to keep them all in one file and just add artboards so that I could keep my files all in one place! The past couple of weeks I have been working on finalizing all of my designs that I need for this project. I have already completed logos, and mockups including: shopping bags, clothing tags, letterheads, and business cards. All that I had left to create was a flyer for the grand opening, and a mockup for how I wanted the website to look! Attached are the designs for each. I have also included two promotional ads for the website within the mockup and in my illustrator files. To conclude the finishing touches of my project I just have to clean up my proposal and make sure everything is matching up with what I was hoping to accomplish, as well as complete my Project Presentation! I wish I could be there to present my project to everyone!
