Andrew has spent all his life looking up to the greats of jazz music and has wanted to become just like them. The movie as a whole shows how Andrew's determination and persistence is becoming detrimental to both his physical and mental health, yet he continues to work towards his dream. 

In the scene above, Andrew is is attending a family dinner for the first time since being accepted into a prestigious band. It soon becomes apparent that Andrew's family are skeptical of his accomplishments and believe that he's not as successful as his cousins. Sometimes, in order to find true happiness, you need to look within in yourself and follow your intuition. 

In Selena's song, she is specifically singing about trying to stop worrying about the future because her intuition is telling her that everything will be alright in the end. In the second verse of the song, she says, "I gotta go with what feels right (woah, woah), don't always need a reason why (woah woah)." Steve Harvey is a well-known comedian and TV show host who has had his fair share of accomplishments, but he hasn't always been like that. For a period of three years he was homeless and had no money to his name, but by his own will and determination, he reached the success that he has today.

The quote above I think summarizes Steve's life because it says that a man can find happiness by putting his best into his work. Breathing in fresh air, listening to the sound of rain, and taking pride in your family are all aspects of a simplified life. Being able to remove yourself from large cities and society is what allows you to find peace.

In Tim McGraw's "Where The Green Grass Grows," he is singing about living a simplified life. He wants to live in a place where he can enjoy the simple things. In the quote from Thoreau, he is talking about how people question his choice to live simply in solitude. Thoreau responds by saying that we still all share the same earth and aren't any further away from each other. I feel that this sentiment really relates to Tim's song and that he would respond the same if asked that question.

However, the corrupt mayor of the city plans to bulldoze the park in favor of an amusement park. The animals must team up together in order to prevent the mayor from destroying their paradise of nature.

In the Emerson quote, he mentions how most adults are unable too see and appreciate the importance of nature. This perfectly sums up the mayor character in "The Nut Job 2". He is incapable of realizing that the park preserves the plants and wildlife, and he only sees the money he can make from an amusement park.
