This will be a great book to read aloud when students are learning about the Great Depression.          <description><![CDATA[<div>This book is about friendship, love, life, and death. This book is about a piglet name Wilbur, a spider name Charlotte, and a little girl name Fern. The pig was about to be killed, but Fern begged her father to spare his life and give him to the neighbor. Fern visited their neighbor everyday to sit and talk with the Wilbur and Charlotte. They became really great friends. This book is a classic and a great book to do a read aloud with, it is a little emotional but the students will enjoy it.<strong> </strong>Read 2/28 <strong>(Newbery Medal Award)</strong></div>]]></description>

This book is about Laura who lives in her little house with her ma, pa, and two sisters. However, her pa wants to move west so they leave their home and travel west. The trip is not easy but Laura enjoyed the adventures. This is also a great book to read aloud especially when students are learning about the Westward Expansion in Social Studies because this book is written during the time.&nbsp;Read 3/1</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There are many editions for this book. This book is an adventure book, and it tells the story of a family who lives in a house near the railway in Yorkshire. There were three children, and unfortunately their father went to prison after being falsely accused. The children find ways to help others and help their father so their family can be reunited. The come in contact with a man who can prove their father innocence. This could be a good book to have your in classroom because some students may can relate to it; for example, maybe it is some reason they can not be with their family and also teaches how family sticks together.&nbsp;Read 3/22</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This book is about a girl name Lily Owens whose mother was killed, living with an abusive father, and taken care of by&nbsp; her maid, Rosaleen.&nbsp; Lily and Rosaleen decided to leave town. They ended up getting introduce to the Boatwright sisters; the makers of the honey. Lily made up a story about how she was an orphan so Lily and Rosaleen was invited to stay with the sisters. They learned about the Boatwrights and the ways of bee keeping. In the midst of all that, they encounter many experiences. This is a good book to have in your classroom for high schoolers because for one it incorpoates the civil rights movement and it also is about Lily's journey toward self-acceptance, faith, and freedom.&nbsp;Read 4/9 </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This book is about characters living in two towns called West Egg and East Egg on the prosperous Long Island. West Egg are people who are new to wealth and East Egg are people who came from a wealthy family. They always had money. Nick is a young man who moves to West Egg where his neighbor is Jay Gatsby. Jay Gatsby is a millionaire who throws extraordinary parties every Saturday night. Nick has a cousin Daisy, who lives in the East Egg. Gatsby is in love with Daisy. However, Daisy is married but they still begin to have an affair. Daisy's husband finds out about the affair, and it is not happy at all. This is a good book for high schoolers. You could dicuss social class and the social history of America during the Roaring Twenties. The author does a great job describing the society of the Roaring Twenties by placing a relatable plot line within the historical context of the era. &nbsp;Read 4/13</div>]]></description>
