         <description><![CDATA[<div>Humans' DNA has changed as they have evolved and through many changes. Early humans were quite pale, and this was hurting them very badly. This situation involves <em>natural selection</em>. They had less hair, which made their pale, sensitive skin more vulnerable to the scorching sun. They ran into trouble because of this, and they had to choose between migrating or learning to cope with the intense heat and sunlight.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Melanin and vitamin D enter the equation. The ones that are left behind to live develop pigment from the brown pigment, melanin, in our skin while the people with paler skin types go up to colder geographic locations. Be aware that their diets, which were high in vitamin D, also enabled their skin to pigment a darker color and <em>adapt</em> to the harsh sun, in addition to the role that melanin had in darkening their skin types.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The globe is currently filled with people of all different skin tones since the skin color trait has undergone a significant change over time. The characteristic has spread around the world and is used by individuals to distinguish one another. The weather and their cuisine have an impact as humans migrate and settle in new areas. Due to their proximity to the equator, most individuals in Africa have a dark complexion. However, the bulk of individuals in places like Europe are pale due to a lack of melanin production to support them. You may say that humans are <em>varied</em>.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>No, often not. Human skin tone is important, and melanin in our bodies doesn't just vanish at random. Humans would suffer excruciating pain if they moved to Africa since they lacked coats and were unaccustomed to the sun's intense UV radiation. The light triggered a <em>selection pressure</em> that led to the majority of mankind migrating.</div>]]></description>

         <title>How does an environment influence if the trait is helpful or not?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Extremely hot environments with only the summer as a season will be difficult to live in. Africa is a good example. Since Africa's equator is split, the entire continent experiences intense heat from the sun. Humans will require melanin in those environments to protect them from developing skin cancer. Skin cancer is easily spread by those who are unable to create a sufficient amount of melanin.</div>]]></description>
