Some of their current big name franchises started out as cheap, low-budget films such as Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series. New Line Cinema distributed all of these films quite well and most have done well theatrically as well as on DVD and Blu-Ray. One way our group have done this is by creating a social media account on twitter and use it as a platform to promote the movie through word of mouth which is the most efficient and effective way to advertise. On the right is a screenshot of the twitter page. Another method that we would allow new line cinema to distribute the film is by using ancillary products such as blu-ray DVD's as well as digital downloads and putting the movie onto paid subscription services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. Furthermore, we would hire high end graphic designers in making a professional looking poster as well as billboard to distribute nationally as well as internationally. These print advertisements will make the film more popular as well as global as it will be displayed publicly on buses, train stations and other platforms like cinemas throughout the use of trailers. This will also be displayed on other social media platforms like Youtube and Vimeo.
