１。I found it interesting about the plot, it was fun to read a manga about film, usually I read shonen but this one seemed more mature. It was about life goals and how we pursue them.

Culturally it was interesting because it was about a grandma chaising her dreams of becoming a film maker. But before then, she plays with the idea of it, going into movie theatres and being inspired by different films. She ultimately is helped by a highschool student. It was similar to American culture in the way any other elderly person who chase a wild dream, but the small nuances, like being helped by a high schooler in the area seems pretty odd and different in American culture.

The font is normal like any manga font. It is relaxing because of the association of manga.

The illustrations are really good. It seems pretty mature, which adds onto the plot and makes it more inspiring.

1.This is my second week reading this book, linguistically I think that the character Kai has a Kanbei accent so it was kind of hard to understand sometimes. But it is interesting to be exposed to that.

2.Culturally it was interesting as the grandma visited Kai's open campus at his University, culturally, the university is pretty similar to ours, but there are definitely some differences. This include the architecture of the school, while Vanderbilt is a very grand and old look. the Japanese University in the manga looked really modern.

The font is nice, this week I realized more about the onomonopeas, those had a very gentle kind of font, to go along with the soft art style of the manga

The illustrations became better as the manga went on, there were more scenes about Kai's film so those were drawn in a different style which was cool.

1。This is my third week reading the manga. In my Japanese class we have spending the last few lessons learning Keigo and polite Japanese. It is interesting being able to understand the cultural differences in correlation to both my Japanese class and manga.

Relating to the linguistic reflection, culturally, seeing how Kai talked to the grandma and how she talked to him was really interesting. Both were being really polite, but obviously with the age difference, it was different.

The font is the same as always. But I noticed it more in the different illustrations, the author likes to put panels of movies, in there, the font changes depedent on the theme of the movie ex. action it will be more sharp.

The illustrations are cool as the artist changes styles as different films play in the manga.

Linguistically its fun to pick up on the different role language that the characters use.

Culturally, it was interesting to see the dynamics between the different guests that come into the store and the store owner. It was also cool that they are famous story book characters.

The omnomonapias of the manga had fonts that went along with the kind of emotions they were trying to convey. ex:softer or larger fonts

I liked the illustrations, they reminded me of Bleach. It helps paint the kinda characters that they are without needed to see actuall animations.

Linguistically, its nice to finally start picking up and noticing role language after another week.

Culturally, it was nice to learn about more Japanese folk tales, as there are not only western ones refrenced in this story

The font is actually seems more mature than normal. Maybe less bubbly, goes along with the theme

Illustrations are still consistent from last week. Strong and fun to look at

１。i found this week's reading interesting. It was about a astronaught that went to space and sacrificed his family time to chase that dream. I'm not familiar with this story, but it was still interesting to read about.

2.Culturally, it was the same as last time. Except I think this story was originally American. So I think the part about him sacrificing his time is more real.

3.I like the font, same as last time. They made the part about space seem more digital which makes sense.

4.The illustrations are good. It made space very space like and blended the two styles when he came to the island.

I enjoyed the plot of this weeks reading but less than others. This time it was explaining some of the items she had in her basement rather than talking about a new guest. It was cool expanding on the world building but overall not that much.

Culturally, I found it the same as last week. Pretty interesting. Except this time the delivery pilot has an obvious crush on the main girl.

The font is the same, just more "doki doki" so the font for those onomonopeias were different.

Illustrations were cool this week for the new world building. Alot of ocean illustrations. It was very cool.

I thought that this class was very fun, it was a nice break from my other classes. This semester was more stressful than last, so I'm happy I could relax and enjoy my studies here. Also, Japanese got a lot harder and more challenging this year in Advanced, so it was nice to be able to practice my reading and speaking here. I learned alot about literature beyond just manga. It was interesting to read about concepts while I was learning them in class. 敬語とか、onomatopoeiaとか、とても役に立つだった。この授業の後、日本語で漫画を読み続いておきます 。この授業を教えてありがとございます！
