Seita a 14 years old boy and his 4 years old little sister Setsuko are the main characters of the history.
The first scene of the movie is Seita dying by hunger in a train station, and all the movie is his memories about how did he get there, then the movie shows us when he was with his mother and sister at their house when a bombing started, this bombing left the siblings orphaned, and after this tragedy all the movie gets even mor sad, basically is a movie  about how a couple of kids get through increasingly worst situations until they reach their sad and inevitable fate.

]]> 2019-04-05 13:18:25 UTC https://padlet.com/davidcanoruiz/h7vjtzokalv2/wish/348911966 davidcanoruiz https://padlet.com/davidcanoruiz/h7vjtzokalv2/wish/348917745 There are a lot of movies about the Second world war like "Life is Beautiful" and there are also animated movies with sad scenes like "The Lion King" and "Coco".  and they are pretty good, but I feel like this movies are made to inspire tears, and at least few of them have a happy ending or a lesson, but The Grave of the Fireflies was made to make you feel grave, it's tragic and sad to a point that you could say that the people behind this movie are even ruthless. 
Taking in account what I have just said anybody would think "Why am I going to see this movie if I'm just going to suffer?"
And in a certain way they are right, this movie was not made for every public, and not because it shows sexual harrasement or this kind of things, but it is emotionally painful to watch, but if you are brave enough to watch this movie I can tell you that when you finish the film, you feel that you have seen a beatiful piece of art, because that's what it is.

I would like to add that the fact that the movie is animated doesn't means that it's dedicated to a young public, the topics it touches and the way it does it make it a movie hard to see even for adults.
