-The community garden “Prachttomate” in the heart of Berlin-Neukölln,

- The social catering start-up “SumSum”, founded by young refugees from the team of Laial, and

- The Theatre of the Oppressed “Kuringa”, working on concrete actions against discrimination and injustice.

We also made a field trip to Brandenburg to meet:

- The founders of the “Carnival of Cultures” in Kagel,

- The solidary organic farm “LAWINE” in Neuendorf im Sande and

- The “Haus des Wandels”, a “post-local rural centre” for communal living and culture.

- kind of serious game: as place of learning together by playing – for children, youth and adults equally,

- with political kitchen: making invisible care work collective and appreciated, and

- with conflict resolution and rules-setting plenary meetings: where young people and adults can all participate and take responsibility for themselves individually as well as for the shared space and community.

Next to these non-formal learning methods, we experienced few other activities together:

- The sensory pathway, overcoming differences between people able and unable to see,

- Herbalism & foraging wild edible plants, enabling to share traditional knowledge from different corners of the world

- Creating seed balls and figures from mud, seeds and natural materials, boosting creativity of young and old.
