She is extraordinary: she learned to talk like an adult at one and a half and started reading newspapers and magazines at three etc. Then she decides to read more challenging books. So she asks Mr. Wormwood (the dad) to buy her books but Mr. Wormwood says no and says to watch the TV. So she goes to the public library where she reads famous books like Oliver Twist, The Invisible Man, etc. Then she finds out her dad scams people to earn money. So she pranks him multiple times. Then she goes to school where 'Miss Honey' becomes her teacher. Then Miss Honey realizes that Matilda is not an ordinary kid and is very smart. So she talks to the Headmistress (her name is Ms. Trunchbull) and says to put her with the older kids but she is very mean and says no. So she tells the same thing to Matilda's parents but does not care about Matilda's education so Miss Honey leaves. The next day, Hortensia warns Matilda and Lavender about Miss Trunchbull and the Chokey they don't believe it. The day after that, Matilda and Lavender see Miss Trunchbull throw a girl over the playground fence and soon realize how dangerous Miss Trunchbull is. Suddenly Miss Trunchbull calls Bruce Bogtrotter and says that he stole her cake. So she tells him to eat a whole cake or else he has to go to the Chokey. He eats everything but still goes to the Chokey. The next day Lavender puts a newt into Miss Trunchbull's jar of water. Miss Trunchbull comes into the room and does a test on the kids and tortures them for getting the answer wrong. She takes a sip of water and sees the newt. Miss Turnbull thinks Matilda did it. Then Matilda tries to tip the glass (jug) onto Miss Trunchbull. Surprisingly, it worked. Matilda shows Miss Honey what she can do (telekinesis). Miss Honey decides to go to her cottage with Matilda to relax. Matilda hears about What Miss Honey has been through and that Miss Trunchbull is her aunt. So she practices telekinesis at home. Oh it’s disgusting.Miss trunchbull blamed Matilda after arguing Matilda looked at the glass cup and said tip over.She repeat saying it 3 more times.Then the glass cup falled down to on Miss trunchbull’s desk.The water in the glass cup soaked Miss trunchbull shirt. Miss trunchbull woke up almost immediately and said who did this?!?!?! Then she said Matilda I know you did this!!!!!!Matilda said I have not move away from my desk,Miss trunchbull since the lesson began.The class said she didn’t move nobody moved!Miss trunchbull said to Miss honey speak up miss honey.You must have seen everything!Who knocked over my glass?Miss honey said none of the children did,Miss trunchbull.After she left everyone get to go to the playground.
