The sisters were taught to fight for not only themselves but for other people which is why they joined the Dutch Resistance to protect their hometown. The sisters murdered the officers that were being cruel to the innocent people. They used a smart technique which was to use explosive chocolate bars to kill the German soldiers and Nazis. Freddie was the first of the girls to kill a soldier by shooting him while riding her bicycle.
