I know this because  Greg's mom is always telling Greg and Rodrick to look on the bright side because they are negative for pretty much anything. I also know this because Greg is always saying he hates everything in middle school and ends up never having any fun. Same thing goes for Rodrick but in high school. Even their dad is negative because he cares WAYYYYYY too much about money. So pretty much Manny is not negative, but he doesn't really say much so we don't know for sure. But we do know their mom is very positive.

Greg is a sad kid in middle school that hates algebra.He is skinny and weak. Rodrick is a teenager in high school that likes music and owns a band. Manny is a toddler in preschool and loves telling on his older brothers and is short. Dad is a huge money saver and is on the phone a lot sorting out work issues. Mom hates electronics and is always happy. The story takes place in the present. I know this because they have lots of things that we have in the present such as cars and video games. At the beginning of the  story it takes place in their medium size house and the rest of it is in a luxurious pool resort with a large artificial beach. The problem in this story is that they accidentally claimed the wrong luggage at baggage pickup and the police are tracking them down. The solution is that they secretly return the luggage when no one is watching and they sneak past security too get out of the resort.

Another example would be that Greg calls Rodrick a jerk. This shows Greg hates Rodrick because jerk is a mean word that shows  you dislike someone. 2 clues from myself would be that I knew that if I had  my brother would play annoying pranks on me I would not like it. I also know that if my brother said mean words to me I would not like it.
This proves that Greg hates Rodrick.

Rodrick: Is a teenager in high school. He has tons of friends. We know nothing about him in studying but he says he hates school. He might be in grade 9,10,11 or 12. It never says but we know he is in high school.
Manny: Manny is in preschool. He probably learns a lot because Mom is always buying him educational stuff such as video games. He has two friends, (one likes grape juice a lot). Manny is in grade 0 because he is in preschool.
What is all similar: They are all brothers. They are all boys. They all live in the same house. They all are in the same family.
Greg and Rodrick: They both hate each other and they both get in trouble a lot.
Manny and Greg: Mom will never let them out of her sights. Neither will she let them leave the house on their own because she is way too overprotective with them.
