- Initial care: for abrasions, you must have clean hands. Begin with rinsing and cleaning the abrasion and applying a thin layer of antibiotic ointment. Protect and cover the abrasion with a clean/sterile dressing.

- Initial care: Apply pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding and elevate the limb if necessary. Apply a sterile dressing and continue to apply pressure to the wound, and wait for further instruction from a physician. 
- Post care: once with physician clean wound of any debris or dirt that many have been left in the laceration. If the laceration is large enough, sutures may be necessary. With your dominant hand, grab the middle of the gloves of your non-dominant hand. 
2. Continuing to use your dominant hand, and pull the glove off of the non-dominant hand. Ball the glove into your dominant hand.
3. With your non-dominant hand, which has no glove on, slide your index finger under the opening of the glove. Continue pulling the glove upwards until it becomes inside out. 
4. Both gloves should be in the little bag gloves. For extra precaution tie the top of the gloves to be sure no bodily fluids escape the gloves. Finish by washing hands.

These symptoms can include redness, swelling, heat, pain, fever, and disordered function. Pus may occur and can be a sign of infection due to to accumulation of white blood cells which are forming to fight against the infection.
