Gail did not change much throughout the novel, she was very determined to get justice for what happened to the Indians and Marie. She was a very strong woman who stood her ground and had strong moral influence. Her feelings have changed towards Julian and Frank and doesn’t consider them to be family anymore after all the terrible things they have both done. Towards the end of the novel, she changes her mind and wanted to let Frank go, because she didn’t want harm to come to her family.
