Thank you for all you do to help us learn! I would like to thank some teachers and staff who have really helped me this year: Mr. Gonzalez, because he covers lessons and test reviews very thoroughly, making me feel confident. Additionally, he encourages us to work our hardest to form opinions related to lessons and stand up for them in essays and discussions. Mr. Gonzalez really cares about our future and success, so thank you to him!; I'm very appreciative for Mrs. Bos, because she always answers my questions! I actually got to meet her at state testing and she was so nice and friendly in person too. ; I appreciate my algebra teacher Mr. Hubbard, because if I need help on a math concept he goes over my questions on a zoom and teaches me the concept and answers any questions I have until I am confident. His teaching has really helped me in algebra this year. ; Ms. Evans, who is my art teacher, always leaves me really kind feedback on my art portfolios, assuring that she really looks and our art and thinks about it and does not just give it a grade. She gives suggestions of things she thinks could look good on my art, but never in a way that undermines what I made. ; I'm very thankful for Mme. Comeaux, because she helps me with French phrases and conjugations I'm unsure about through webmail or a call and always gets back to me very fast. She also has fun French review games, and videos to help students on her MB that have definitely helped me! ; And Dr. Hurwitz is also great! Dr. Hurwitz was not my teacher this year, but I attended her STAAR Champion meetings during the second semester. She was very thorough and always gave other students in the meeting a chance to ask questions. She also let us help solve questions instead of just telling us the answer or doing the questions herself, with us watching. I was not always right in my way of solving questions, she taught us the right ways and never made me feel like I was wrong for being a little confused or maybe forgetting an aspect of the operation. I would like to especially thank Mrs. Gonzalez, who is my homeroom teacher. She helps me with more than just lesson related questions, but also questions related to state tests, school events, course selections, or technical difficulties. She always helps whenever I need it, and gives her all!

Hi my name is Niyeema Mackins and I would like to shout out all of my 6th grade academic teachers ( Mrs.Vela, Mrs.Hager, Mrs.E, Mrs.Payton, Mrs.Lynn, Mrs.Davis) Especially my homeroom teacher Mrs.D aka Mrs. Dowden Parrot.
Mrs D has always been there for me and all of my other teachers as well. Mrs.D would stay after class to make sure all of her students understood the information.
When I needed help on a assignment Mrs.D would always help me. When I had temporary 0's Mrs.D would always encourage me to keep moving. When I wanted to give up on portfolios,test,quizzes And even quick checks Mrs.D would always lift me up. Mrs.D is truly an amazing teacher and I appreciate her ❤️. I wanna give lots of appreciation to Mrs. Long, Dr. Gerbermann, Mrs. Evans, and Mrs. Rigoni, for helping their students in many different ways. These four women have shaped how I think of Online Schooling. When I first came online, I thought it was going to be awful, but they showed me their is a lot more to online school then just learning. My grades were terrible when I first came online, but these women gave me plenty of chances (more then anyone deserves) to bring up my grade. If it weren't for them, I would be failing the school year and I would have to start from scratch. Not only have my grades gone up, but I am learning more because of them. I used to hate History, but now I am thriving in it because Mrs. Rigoni shows me way to increase my learning, and helps me understand the material more (almost as if she is dumbing it down so that I understand it better. In English.. I struggled on essays because the last time I had written and essay was when I was in 7th grade, now I am a Freshman, almost a Sophmore, and I am thriving, thanks to Mrs. Long. Biology is definitely not one of my strong suits, though it is fun to learn about our environment, the species, where we come from, etc, but Dr. Gerbermann, showed her students fun ways to remember the information we are putting into our brains. Lastly, I wanna point out Mrs. Evans. I am terrible at art, but all Mrs. Evans cares about is how much effort you put into the piece you are creating. She isn't one for judging, in fact, she is the total opposite. I could think my art work is one for the garbage, and her comments help me see a whole other side of my art work. These women have accomplished a lot and have helped others around them accomplish a lot. I hope to one day have the same four teachers.

Ms. Chenault is the best guidance consular ever. She's been like a school mother to me. When I reached out to her after one of my friends died when she was only 15, she was very kind to me about it and told me what to do, and has been checking up on me ever since then. She's also been encouraging my dream of doing music and becoming a Deathcore vocalist. This means the world because when I went to public school, I played "Baba Yaga" by Slaughter To Prevail and everyone labeled me as demonic and 🤬. But everyone especially Ms Chenault has been encouraging and embracing my dream to do metal. And this last time I called her, when I told her about a gunpoint robbery at my job she was genuinely worried and gave me a crisis hotline to find resources for therapy and to call whenever I need them or she's not around. This school is the best one ever and she's the best part about it.

Hello my name is Madison Barnhardt. I started TCAH in February and as I have had my ups and downs with it, Mrs. Underwood's meetings on Thursdays always made it better! I loved Mrs. Underwood, she was so kind, and when I had questions I could ask her those questions and I wouldn't feel like I was getting judged. She was just an amazing counselor in general and I feel like she's one of the best counselors I have ever had and I'm definitely going to miss her when I go back to Lamar next year. I would also like to give a little shout out to Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Ramirez, and Mrs. Pennington. Those were my three favorite teachers, I liked Mrs. Williams because she was so kind and loving of her students. Mrs. Ramirez was an art teacher and as I love art this is not why I am thanking her and giving her a shout out. She helped us with all of the portfolios that we had while we were on the meetings that we had every Wednesday. She would walk us through what we needed to do in order to get a 100 and I really liked that! Thanks to her I have a really good grade in art and I really needed it. I really liked Mrs. Pennington! She was one of the best special education teachers I have ever had and that isn't a lie at all! she had fun things planned for us every Friday, she called it a homeroom huddle and I just loved it! It allowed me to get a break from schoolwork and just get a good laugh in for the day! She was funny, kind, and I really liked the nicknames that she gave me. I really loved all of the TCAH staff those were just some of my favorites. I love all of y'all and I thought that y'all were amazing. I LOVE YOU ALL! <3 Have a nice day!

I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Corser as my homeroom teacher for not only junior year, but my senior year as well, and I cannot express my gratitude enough. Mrs. Corser truly goes above and beyond in everything she does, and it is evident that she harbors a true passion for teaching. Every one of our phone calls, whether it was serious or just a monthly check-in, she never failed to lift my spirits and even find something to laugh with me about. Despite the stress I put her through due to my (horrid) procrastination habits, she never once gave up or doubted me, and she always let me know that I am capable, regardless of what I thought. When I look back at my time in TCAH, and really high school in general, Mrs. Corser and the many lessons she has taught me will definitely be among the highlights.
