Imagine you're designing a new cleaning product that needs to be effective at removing stains. You have two elements to choose from: Chlorine (Cl) and Neon (Ne). Based on their positions on the periodic table, which one would be better for your product, and why? Use the concepts of the periodic table trends to explain your answer. You can add pictures (if applicable).

Chlorine is a halogen and it is highly reactive, that's what makes it effective at removing stains through oxidation or chemical reactions. While neon is a noble gas, it does not react with other substances because it has no chemical properties that makes it suitable for cleaning so it wouldn't do much for stain removal. Choosing chlorine as cleaning product is a great choice, it is also commonly used in cleaning pools and dirty clothes and is already proven that it is effective.

Why? Because Ang main reason kung bakit strong stain remover ang chlorine ay dahil sa kanyang oxidizing properties. Chlorine is a strong oxidizing agent. This means it readily accepts electrons from other substances. When chlorine comes into contact with a stain, it oxidizes the molecules that cause the stain. The overall effect of chlorine on stains is a bleaching action. This means it removes the color from the stained material. Chlorine can bleach a wide variety of stains, including yung mga from food, beverages, dyes.
