A friendly, non-judgemental and positive group for PARENTS/CARERS/FAMILY MEMBERS OF CHILDREN WHO ARE ADHD/AUTISTIC/NEURODIVERGENT.

NOT an adult ND/ADHD support group, but an admin can point you in the right direction for this.

This is ran by families for families and is not a professional organisation or registered charity, it’s a support group for peers to share their experiences and support each other.

TOG's is a self funding local charity and any parent/carer of a disabled child from 8 of 18 years who live in and around the borough of Torfaen can make a self-referral to TOG's for their child to join us - you DO NOT need to be referred by any statutory organisation

We are a charity that improves people’s lives by giving free, independent, confidential, impartial advice whilst campaigning for change across Torfaen as well as across Wales and further afield.

Break4Change

Break4Change is designed to respond to the issue of child to parent violence.

The programme supports families to make positive changes and is suitable for parents/carers and young people, between the ages of 7-16 years old, who are willing to change how they communicate with each other and want to improve their relationships.

Break4Change is a 10-week Ar Trac group-work programme that focuses on building healthy relationships. Parent/carer and young people’s groups work in parallel.

The programme aims to help break patterns of behaviour such as:

• Controlling the home environment

• Being violent or aggressive towards the parent/carer

• Putting the parent or carer down

• Making threats

We'll cover our effective three-step ‘Let's Go Potty’ approach and discuss:  

• Preparation to use the potty.  

• Practising potty skills.  

• Stopping using nappies as your child gains confidence.   

• Support for older children to use the toilet.
