These tools enhance the lesson for several reasons.  First, they are able to select the tool that works best for them. Also, the students have the ability to collaborate while using the tool. Finally, they are able to determine which graphic organizer they will develop to demonstrate their thinking and understanding of the concept. These changes to the lesson will move it to a higher level in the TIM in the areas of Active Learning, Collaborative Learning, Constructive Learning, and Authentic Learning
