Instead of memorizing facts and dates of historical events, I would choose to travel more broadly to "re-live" those historical events and be immersed in the associated lands, places, people who know the history, and daily items that were used.

My high school had so many fun courses - dance, acting, singing, cooking, fashion, makeup and nails, and live broadcasting. We were also the first school in London to introduce gender-neutral washrooms.

I would choose something more holistic and inclusive. I was lucky that educational structure fit my basic skill set and interests, but it didnt consider my mental health, and had little flexibility. I feel like something more holistic might meet that gap. I would redesign it to build on students skills and passions from the start, but also something that scaffolded basic literacy. I think id try to encourage more reading and use of imagination and questioning.
