My inquiry question was moving the virtual learning commons into the 21st century and I did touch upon digital maker spaces. I really liked the idea that you didn't have to set it up in the library and it was pretty much accessible to anyone at any given time. Like the others have stated in their posts, the thought of creating a designated space in the actual library might be hard- I'm just thinking about my own school library and the only way I think we could make it work would be through using a separate room.

Most libraries are crowded enough. To create a good makerspace would require a lot of space. When I think of a makerspace I think of the electives I took in 8th grade (woodworking, drafting, sewing, electronics, etc). A part of me is beginning to think that these experiences belong in a space that can be equipped with all the set-up needed for a true makerspace.
