How will we ensure that students have an interpreter for the teams center if there are more than one student in the class and only one goes? Them going is dependent on their scores on the DOL, so we will not know until it is time if they will be going or not.

At GLEC we are under the directive to attend PLC in a common area every day of the week.

This requires us to bring all binders, documents, paperwork, computer, calendars, materials, visual aids, graphic organizers, etc.... everything necessary to plan and provide services. It is cumbersome and redundant when we should be allowed to work in our own rooms at a pace and design we determine as professionals (and in accordance with the allowances in Texas State Code).

Please address.

At Reagan campus we have 3 SLL classes, 2 RDSPD elem and MS and 1 hearing elem class. We do not do DEMO DAY. During PD today 3 RDSPD SLL teachers ( Elem, MS, HS) were talking and wondered if maybe we should do our own RDSPD SLL DEMO DAY virtual meetings? Just a thought…

What qualifies a campus to have an itenerate teacher? Could we have a reading teacher specifically who pulls across the grade levels to do Reading Mastery? That way we can focus on just that within the NES model, while also being able to teach the grade level lessons with fidelity?

Many instances I'm showing students an ASL interpreted video to explain a learning concept and my students have asked for less or no light so they're able to see it.

Can we ask about an exemption from this expectation for RDSPD classes?

How do we go about making sure that our students are getting enough direct instructions in the NES classroom when the teachers are being told by admin that they are not allowed to spend more than X amount of time on helping one or two students and that they have to keep up with the pace?

How does the NES Gen Ed teacher allocate this extra attention to the DHH student fairly, without neglecting their other students and still following the NES tempo?

Under "Text Scaffolding" in the draft document could a piece be added such as:

Teachers should be able to identify the reading level of their students through......AND be able to use those levels to reach lesson objectives.

We have student from oversees without any language. Is there anyway a student can be placed for a one on one for a month, BEFORE mainstreaming. The student is in shock because of no language, and does not understand any of the routines. This student has many needs!

When it comes to "Pacing" we can add extra wait time when answering questions.
