For Social Studies, I purchased two 100.00 chairs that only students could sit in. Underneath I put a folder for each leader along with copies of worksheets for students. The students ran the 20 minute Test Review and Internet Search sessions and placed the folder with directions and extra copies under the chair for the next group. The other Social Studies rotation included the Teacher Station were I explored people who were instrumental in the content. During Read 180, the students rotated between the living room where they read and answered Quick Responses and Tell-backs from wall mounted worksheet holders while lounging on couches and bean bags. They also rotated to the computer section for twenty minutes and completed the skills they were lacking in based on their online artificial intelligence assessment.
