The conflict between Israel and Iran has continued for 5 days now. There are at least 224 people killed since the hostilities began in Iran. In Israel, 24 people have died. Iran's nuclear weapon was the main reason for the conflict. U.S. President Donald Trump reacts and comments, saying he is looking for the "real end" to the conflict between those countries.

South Korea

South Korea's democratic party's leader Lee has won the recent election that took place recently. It was the election right after the chaos of the martial law by the previous president, Yoon. Yoon's martial law was declared on December 3, 2024. He was impeached soon after in April, and the election happened in June. With the difference of 17 million votes between Kim, the People's Power Party's leader, Lee's inauguration happened on 6/10.

India started its inspection of Boeing 787s after the crash of Air India. Boeing 787s (full name of Boeing BA.N 787-8 Dreamliner) went on board with 242 passengers. While it was heading to Britain's Gatwick Airport, the plane started to lose height and hit buildings with fireballs created during the crash. It has been stated as the worst disaster to happen in recent decades. Including the people outside the plane, 270 bodies were found. Sadly, there was only 1 survivor of the devastating incident.

Coco Gauff won the French Open women's singles final, defeating the world's No. 1 player, Aryna Sabalenka. This marks her second grand slam title after the victory in 2023. She is the first American woman to win at Roland Garros since Serena Williams in 2015. Even though Sabalenka led early, Gauff made a strong win in the sets. The game was held in Roland Garros Stadium, Paris, France.

People in Nairobi are protesting after a teacher named Albert Ojwang died in police custody. Plice said he hit his head on the wall, but doctors say that's not true. Many youths in Nairobi are angered by the repeated incidents of missing people. Ojwang was arrested for posting something online and was later found unconscious. Protestors want the top police officer to quit and are asking for justice.

Argentina's former president, Cristina Kirchner was house arrest to serve a 6-year prison sentence. She was president in the year 2007 to 2015. The actions were made because she was found guilty of giving government contracts unfairly. Because of her age (72), she has permission to stay at home with an ankle monitor. Some Argentines are speaking up for her release.
