This project will consist of removing all sound from this 2 and a half minute clip, then re making it from scratch via the use of sound libraries and foley equipment. I think there is plenty of space for foley in the later minutes of the video due to how many animals and environmental changes occur. Using sound libraries will also help me create a vast sound scape of the different atmospheres presented from the initial wartime hour, to the peaceful tranquil of a forest full of wildlife.

My first impressions of the clip are very dystopian. I feel that the clip is not trying to show the 'resillience' of the soldier, but rather the resillience of the world around him. The fact that he stays motionless as the world around him changes conveys the fact that if humans were to leave, life like all things would move on and leave us behind. I will try to move this point of view forward by attempting to make very isolated soundscapes, environments rich with life, but not HUMAN life. A loud silence.

For studio time, i believe that maybe a whole class day dedicated to foley and other sfx would be sufficient to cover a large portion of the project. If more is needed ill figure out a way to get it arranged

All the sound i will use in my clip will be either my own work or material that is copyright cleared for public use.

I think the main challenge of this project will be trying to find sounds which sound not too lighthearted and fake, but also realistic enough to fit the mood of the clip for the animals which show up in the later scenes and trying to blend the vast soundscape of the foresty wildlife.
