         <description><![CDATA[<div>The period is very close to twelve, which shows that the cycle repeats every year (being 12 months). The midline being at 12 also makes sense because there are roughly 24 hours in a full day, and half of a day is at 12 hours. The amp being nearly 3 tells us that our minimum number of hours will be around 9 hours and our max will be around 15. (from the scatterplot our actual max is 15.08 and our actual min is 9.25). </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><mark>How many hours of daylight might we expect in January next year?</mark><br>We can use the graph to extrapolate to t=12 (12 months after January 2020, which is January 2021). We can expect around 9.25 hours (which would be about the same as January 2020).<br><br><mark>At what month(s) do we expect to get roughly 12 hours of daylight</mark><em><br></em>If we see what points the midline crosses through, we can figure out what months will have around 12 hours of daylight per day. We find the midpoint crosses at the x values 2,8,14,20, etc. Every six months, the daylight hours are around 12 hours. These two months are March and September (2 months after January and 8 months after January) <br><br><mark>Gert wants to go on a vacation to New York. She wants to be here when there are the most daylight hours per day. What month should she plan to come to New York?</mark><br>By looking at our max value and what it's X coordinate is, we can figure out what month of the year has the most daylight hours. The first max value is at x = 5. June is the month five months after January, so Gert should plan to come to New York in the month of June. </div>]]></description>
