The way subjects are taught and the level of engagement teachers can achieve with their students can truly leave an impact. When I was in high school, I learned that I am motivated by being involved and having a voice. I hope that I can encourage my future students to find what they like and involve themselves in it, because high school largely shapes one's future. 
Why History? 
In my first year of undergrad at CSUF I took an American Studies course because it fulfilled one of my D category GEs. I loved the class and it became my major. Two of my favorite cities are New York and Madrid. Big cities are exciting to me, probably because I've always lived in suburban areas. One of the first big trips I took was in my first year; I participated in the Study Abroad Winter Intersession. I stayed at a University in Madrid but I also visited Toledo, Seville, Granada, and Segovia. I am excited to see more places in the future inside and outside of the U.S!

Second, I  love to use the Pinterest app for fun ideas for anything and everything. Gifts, decorations, party planning, workouts; I also love to search for organizational ideas (nerdy, I know!). Last I love to go to Disneyland and watch Disney movies. Fun fact: the castle pictured at the bottom center is supposedly the inspiration for Princess Aurora's Castle (from "Sleeping Beauty.")
