Although in the beginning I couldn't quite get into it, I eventually couldn't put it down. The beginning is a little confusing because you don't know exactly what is being talked about, but it is later explained to give a better understanding. The book just gets better as you read it. For me it got better around when Jace, one of the shadow hunters met in the beginning, showed up at Clary's apartment. Everything progressed at that point.
