Objectives of the movement and the evolution through time.

To start, the Women's Right Movement was from 1848-1920. This movement was pivotal to where women stand today in modern society. The main objectives of this movement would be equal access to education and employment, equality within marriage, a married woman's right to her own property and wages, custody over her children and control over her own body, and the right to vote.

Looking at how these objectives changed overtime we could observe modern day life of women in society. When it comes to education and employment, it has become natural for women to finish school and enter the workforce. Marriages are now seen as something that takes two and not just a man and his submissive wife. Women can now own their own property without a man affecting the process. Women can as well fight for the custody of their children as they always should have.

Bodily autonomy for women has well become quite important in modern day society, and it is even being challenged by the governments mostly male conservative politicians. Because women's bodily autonomy is being infringed on, they can very much vote against it which is another doing of the Women's Rights Movement. Overall this movement was the torch in a dark room for women all across the world, and it is what allows for me to even be writing about it.
-Kaely Trantham

It was significant because it allowed women to vote and gave them much more political power. This increased the number of voters significantly. It also allowed women to have more rights/freedom.
