other challenges were since it being a project to do with a partner that got tonsillitis and couldn't talk i wasn't able to get a recording on the padlet.

Research for the project was fun, the performance of my guitar gently weeps with prince was an interesting performance and gave me alot to consider in recording.

in conclusion i had wished to to do way better in future projects as i feel i have underperformed with the circumstances given.

Our line-up was Aaron, Cooper and David on guitar, Me on bass, Jamie on vocals and conner on vocals and Guitar.

To prepare in rehearsals i would practice outside college and while in college i brought sheet music until i could remember the parts.

Challenges for this project consisted of bandmates lack of attendance/preparation, leading to practicing issues, and lack of a drummer led to rushing/dragging of the song and made keeping a 6/8 time signature difficult.

and all the final day due to health reasons we were down a singer leading to one of the songs barely able go be performed

All in All i think we did well considering circumstance's, we were able to perform at least 1 song and were able to work together well, Though the final result is not to a standard i want as there was alot of room for improvement all around.

the progress was fun, i scrapped some pictures and books and researched alot for the poster over-time.

i tried to split each subject in sections lairing the poster in multiple pieces of paper.

I tried to mimic the type of horror theme music like the Halloween theme, the recognisable feeling tunes.

I think what I made had a solid start but I lacked the catchy part too all the music I had listened to.

all this has taught me how to start using instrument on logic and so it will help me in the future project.

I attempted to make the intense feeling like in the scene with drums and keep true to the themes of the movie/scene.

I found this challenging as I'm not a drummer so using drums especially on logic was quite new to me.

It's a nice happy sounding tune and I had a lot of fun making it.

I didn't find much challenge with this track.

a good example would be the home alone soundtrack or the sound track for for the Christmas carol.

evaluation

I aimed to make a repetitive tune with Christmas sounding instruments and a kinda up beat tune.

For the protest song we decided to perform Revolution by the Beatles.

Challenges with performing this song weren't to bad, the worst would be playing the wrong chord (which I eventually fixed) ,the time sig change and singing with two singers and deciding what parts each sang.

we were also lucky to have Gilly come in and play drums for us which helped a lot.

I think as a band the things Id say need improved are one of the singers need more practice but other then that I think we did well.

For the original piece we built of chords that James came up with and built off that, adding bass and vocals and the other guitars, using harmonies too.

The biggest challenges for this song were lack of charting, not much writing down of chords until chased up to do so (and even then It took a week to write them after being asked) resulting in a lot of guessing on the key and what to play and not having much too bounce off of musically, wasting a lot of time that could have been used better.

This was the first attempt of what i wanted to write, tho i did steer away from this quite a bit

We all sat down the songs we are going to have a look at are Simple man, Rock off, Are you gonna be my girl, Take me out. and then possibly (but unlikely) ain't no mountain high enough.

The plan is to all go home, listen and study the songs and discuss on teams.

Jae has finished writing the lyrics now we just have to get it recorded

I also fleshed out the drums to be differing throughout the song.

it started with the idea of using a acoustic guitar and using a slide. id never used a slide before so i was having alot of fun with using it and making this song.

The guitar is Tuned to Open D for the blues feel (and so was the bass).

i then worked on drums, then adding bass and affects to all but drum kit.

For the bass and guitar i played them both myself and jae wrote lyrics and sang.

The challenges i faced-

Electric Acoustic plug ins not working and trying to record stuff without plugging it in was a huge pain for a couple classes, but eventually in the end we got one that wasn't busted.

Saving files properly, i just didnt know and misssaved alot of work sometimes resulting in me wasting time redoing all i pit in logic.

Sometimes theres bits in the drums and the guitar that dont feel quite right, maybe if i play this live ill fix those to issues

Working with Jae has always been easy, similar tastes in music and we get along great, we can easily bounce each-others ideas off one another and have good chemistry working together.

in conclusion we started of with a dull blues riff, then improved upon it and then changed the genre from a delta blues kinda thing to a blues rock and im really happy with how it turned out, it was also so fun to play this in front of all the class.

we had alot of fun making this song and the end result shows.

We are now doing the chain and little black submarine.

Without a drumming practicing together is challenging, keeping a count is a struggle for some the guitarists but we are powering through.

people are getting distracted to much and going to chat with other people in other rehearsal rooms.

we have added purple rain and spirit in the sly to the setlist.

Timing for the chain seems to be a challenge, a singer is singing not on time and a guiterist is playing stuff longer then he should, no drummer makes it harder aswell, but progress is being made as we can get through the song, but some needs to learn the solo for it.

spirit in the sky right now is our weakest one, the key change timing is tuff, and the time sig changes.

purple rain is going well, for bass its mainly root notes for bass and the band seem to like it.

We also added you give love a bad name to the setlist, which the band seem to take on really well.

sadly the drummer i got cant make the mash house dates so we need to find another one and soon.

the chain is getting better, there are less timing problems and jack is going to do the solo for it, he just need more practice and itll be good, we also need an ending for it.

practice is going well with steady improvements.

Weve decided to replace it with Tennessee Whisky, which everyone seems to enjoy.

The two singers have locked down what parts each are going to sing, and the guitarists have chosen there parts aswell, everything is kinda falling into place more and theres less messing around, we have also been rehearsing on Fridays.

right now for all our songs we need ways to end them, as the chain slowly fades out in the song we need to come up with something for that to end a different way, this is our main problem at hand and im going to set down and try sort it out.

you give love a bad name is tiring for my thumb, but ive gotten the hang of it.

Tennessee whiskey is just blues and it’s like two or three chords, so I kind of picked it up really quickly, blues being my strongest musical genre.

My timing was on beat and pretty good i think.

In the performance i was focused completely on playing as i still wasn't used to the feeling of a slide on my finger.

All round i think oir performance went pretty well, there were some parts were jae got a bit nervous but i don't think anyone noticed.

My body language could have been better, i could have look up more but i was to concentrated with the playing.

the structure of the song was i intro,verse, chorus, verse, chorus, verse2, chorus, end.

Performing with Jae is never challenging, i can easily get a feel for what she going for and can adapt to its quickly, like on the ending of the song she slows down and i adapted in the moment to match her singing.

And working with her in general is always great, she has the same music tastes as me and shes like family to me now. weve all gotten close in this class and its amazing to work with most of them.

in the end i think me and jaes strengths complement each others and we have created a pretty cool song.
