Instead of lying to you and hopefully saving you from your monotonous grading of people who thought as i did but actually went through with it to suck up, i'll keep this 100% honest in answering what I thought, what my favorite aspects were, what i found problematic and finally how has it changed how i listen to music.
lets start with one, what i thought. 
In all sincerity and honesty, it was okay, i mean i didn't hate it, but im also not about to buy 'every book ever' that this guy wrote. 
my favorite aspect was how easy this book was to read.
obviously Ratliff's goal wasnt to make this like metamorphosis but for the classes textbook this is easy to read and transitions okay.
