The Boston tea party was very important because it showed how the colonist wanted freedom from the British empire and they were brave to risk their lives in order to show people what they believe because if they are caught they would be in big trouble . Another reason I think the Boston tea party is very important is because they also dumped 42 tons of tea which is over $1,700,000 of tea that they dumped and the British lost all of that money. If the British found out who did it they would be in big trouble.

I noticed that the thirteen colonies outsmarted the red coats in many of the battles during the war. I think this is because King George was over 3,000 miles away, when he would send commands and acts the patriots would already have a way to defend or boycott by the time the red coats could fight. For example: if King George and the government were located in what is now the Midwest, the patriots would of had less time to prepare and get troops and weapons ready. This effects the war majorly because had Great Britain been closer they could of prevented the patriots from getting "too, set up."

And the British were all the way across the ocean so the Americans could see the red coats coming from the ocean so they could ambush them. Paul Revere had a midnight ride to tell all of Concord Lexington and Boston that the regulars (British) were coming. The shot heard round the world you could not actually hear around the world. It means that it was the first shot fired at the start of the war.

It started because the British taxed their imports such as lead, paint, paper, glass and tea. Also of the Boston massacre many of the colonist were killed. Also the Boston tea party was related to this because of their protest to not tax teas and the colonist also the Americans would stop ships that had tea on it because of the taxes that they did not want to pay. Also there was a second shipwreck, 3 months after the original Boston tea party the the colonist boarded a ship called the "Fortune" and dumped 30 tea chests in the Boston harbor and it then spread to other colonies. Also women's were also spies and some women's took over for their wounded husband. Such as Margaret Cochran Corbin which became the first women to receive a military pension From the U.S. Government and was buried with full military honors and there were 5,000 African Americans fought on the patriots side and they all received the same amount of money as the White men. There were also pirates known as the privateers, fought for the revolutionary cause and were lincensed by the continental congress.
