You may ask. Well, it is thanks to our new abilities we developed about the capability to analyze and comment on text that progressively gets harder and harder, we can prove this by using the example of Dagon by H.P Lovecraft, as in the beginning most of the 12 graders got confused and bored but as we closed to an ending, after the class of stylistic devices (a good tool to go side by side), we understood clearly the objective of the reading and what the author was trying to express in the short story. As an evidence of our progress we have the text commentary, because in order to do this we need the abilities we mention before, the capability to analyze and comment a text, so it was somehow mandatory to have some basic abilities that we needed in order to do text commentary. The information we gathered give us a possible solution, because the real problem could be that the kids do not understand the text, but if they understand the text and the authors intentions, and what is transmitting it, they could be more interested. The difficulties we have encountered while doing this activity has been complicated to apply our gathered information in a real situation, because we got the theory but on paper it is not.
