There are couple bad things also about the power of reading minds. One, if you read somebody's mind and you hear something really bad about yourself it can hurt, because sometimes the truth hurts. Another bad thing about reading minds is if your friends find out they might not trust you anymore, because if your friend tells you something and you think it is a lie and check their mind , and your friend finds out that you have been reading their mind, then they are not going to trust you. Also, if someone near you is having suicidal thoughts, you can read their mind and try to talk them out of it and save their life. Same thing with depression, You can try to calm him/her down  and talk them out of it. I think reading minds can be useful, effective, and weird.  With mind reading you can tell if someone is lying or not ,and you can't show someone that you are mind reading or just touching your head and trying to tighten your head. People will just think that you are just getting really consistent guesses. But it will be fun for card games because when you play card games you usually think of a strategy or what you have in you hands. Than you would feel really bad, same with other negative thoughts. It is also bad because what if someone said something and then you read there mind and they are clearly lying, that could hurt your feelings. Let's say you want to got to a birthday party. The guy says you are invited but when you read his mind, he is thinking that you are definitely not invited.

It is good because you can know if someone is lying about something. Let's say there is one cupcake left and then by tomorrow it's gone. You ask your older brother if he ate it, and he says no. You read his mind and it's saying he ate the last cupcake then you can catch him red handed. It is also good because you have the ability to know what they are saying.
